Cornice Boxes...a Good thing!

My number came up this morning on Wonderhubby's home improvement to-do List so the Cornice boxes for the Bedroom got installed. I really like them and think they Finish off the room just right. I intended to go fabric shopping and just Recover the window boxes we already have but when I saw these Cornice boxes featured on the HGTV website for the show, Rate my Space I had to have them. 

They are exclusive to Lowe's but I'm sure it won't be long until Home Depot offers something similar. Buying them was a bit Strange since the middle section is sold separate from the End caps, which you must have in order to Pull the whole thing off. Not knowing this in advance meant we had to make two Trips to Lowe's. Each cornice box costs a little under $60 complete. Lightweight and sturdy they come in several Styles and can be Painted any color you want. Of course, I wanted them to match the bright white I chose for the Crown molding and window casings so White it is. See for yourself...
