So while we don't seem destined to gel with the new neighbors next door,
our other neighbors down the street adore us, so they surprised us with
another offer to spend the weekend at their cabin in the mountains!
As soon as we arrived I had to call Mrs. Wonderful-Neighbor to tell her that she
no longer has my permission to call this a cabin... Because this surely is
a mountain mansion if there ever was one! Just call me in love...
Seriously, this retreat has charm written all over it! And, it's
so like our dear neighbors... Warm, inviting and welcoming!
She was the first neighbor to appear at our door step to welcome us on our
very first day in North Carolina. The house was a disaster, I was a disaster,
and yet we instantly became friends for life! And, since she also delivered our
first taste of Krispy Kreme doughnuts too, I blame her for my hopeless
addiction to them! Oh, my... Look at this... What do we have here?
This is another nice surprise...
Fortunately, I never leave home without my Lush bath bombs!
But before bath-time there's deck-time to be enjoyed!
Because the sun is about to set on our State's beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains!
It's been a while since...
I've felt this relaxed, calm and so very, very...
Small!
The bats are flying all around us now, and there's a Whippoorwill calling nearby...
Doesn't get any more peaceful than this!
Have a Happy Weekend!
Have a great weekend Janet!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are so blessed to have such wonderful and generous friends! The cabin is an oasis in the mountains and your photographs of it and your sunset are breathtakingly serene. Have a wonderful relaxing time. I would think that a weekend there will rejuvenate you as much as two weeks spent anywhere else!
ReplyDeleteWOW! What a sunset. My daughter is sitting next to me and she said "whoever has that house is a very lucky woman." I'd have to agree!
